    Palimpsest by Catherynne Valente (Jannes)
Jannes: A great novel about a city that can only be visited in dreams. Not in the same vein of Arabian nights-esque fantasy as Lovecraft and Dunsany, But an amazing work, and a great Dreamlands resource for the sheer weirdness and sublimity of its dreamworld. Also great for getting a sense of what access to a dream-place of fantasy and terror might do to a person: do they run in terror, or pine for it constantly, wasting away in their waking life? A Dreamland's roleplayer will find ideas for characters, scenarios and places on every other page. Not to be missed!… (more)

I'll admit that I have a soft spot for the Dreamlands. It's a place where, if it's so desired, players can buckle their swashes and engage in the sort of high-flying adventure that Call of Cthulhu normally doesn't encourage. That said, it's even less supported than the Gaslight setting; I think it's a rule that settings I'm interested in will promptly be ignored when it comes to adventures and supplements. ( )
