Fandorin on the hunt for Jack The Ripper. A rather clichéd idea that still makes for a gripping mystery.
This is darker and more violent than the rest of the series.
The Russian detective is still brilliant when it comes to solving puzzles, but unfortunately he is saddled with an unforgivably irritating assistant, and the ending is really a letdown. You would certainly expect the Ripper to be smarter than that. Overall a solid effort.
