Used for Baby Storytime 11/11/2011. Sang the song and had parents do the motions with their babies. We went really slow the first time through so that the illustrations could be appreciated at least a little and then sang it twice more speeding up each time. I didn't even attempt to use the book on the last time through. The book was received fairly well although Kubler's illustrations are definitely worth more attention than it was possible for the parents and babies to give them. Kubler uses a multicultural cast of babies (with big round faces and minimal details) and their stuffed animals as performers of the classic song. I found myself smiling at the silliness of the stuffed animals in particular. The characters are all on plain show more white backgrounds with just enough extraneous objects to keep things interesting and their clothes are done in bright, saturated colors. The combination makes this particularly developmentally appropriate for toddlers and babies. The notation for the song is also included on the back for those who aren't familiar with the tune. show less
This was Mx favorite song as a baby so we got this bilingual book version. Mx liked this book a lot. To date, Ms has not showed much interest.
This book is great for infants and toddlers! The book is filled with bright colors and cute pictures. This book teaches infants and toddlers the different parts of the body while singing a catchy song. This is a great learning book because as you are reading it you can point to all the different body parts on the child.
This book pictures toddlers learning the English and Spanish names for their heads, shoulders, knees, toes, eyes, ears, mouths, and noses. The back cover shows the sheet music for the familiar "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes" song.
This picture book shows kids the different body parts found on their body. It is a cute short book that is great for babies!
This books is wonderful for infants and toddlers. It talks all about body parts and there is physical development involved. It is very relevant to everyone.
Great book to see pictures and associate with body parts.
Also great way to start using the rhythm to sing the song.
