This somewhat low rating is on account of Surfacing, Atwood's second novel, which I rate only at 2** – which averages out this three-fer volume rather low notwithstanding my 5***** rating for The Edible Woman and 4**** rating for Lady Oracle. Note also that this "Great Writers of Canada" three-fer edition published by Peerage Books is infected with quite a number of typos (though once you get past the typos it is a convenient three-fer edition of early Atwood). ( )
