Not the best but readable. I found Burke Logan, the male protagonist, to be annoyingly unable to take no as an answer and Erin McKinnon too subservient. The sideswipes at the backwardness of Ireland added to the irritation.
Enjoyed being reunited with Adelia, Travis and even Paddy but wish they were more part of the story. Liked the parts about the derby horse races. Erin was another Irish female who was inexperienced in love yet does not seek help from her mother or cousin. Burke was truly a cold fish type of guy. Surprised that : Erin's family does not come for the wedding nor is any trip planned; although we find out about her cousin's family there was not much talk/discussions of her feelings with Adelia even though she really needed it. Glad that Paddy and Travis had small but important parts to the story.
I didn't like the retrocon that happened. In the 1st book Dee was all alone. Paddy was her only family member left.
Now suddenly she has cousins, sure they are not 1st cousins. Even though they are 3rd or 4th cousins. They consider her a part of their family and she considers them hers. There was no references at all to these people at ALL in the 1st book.
