LFL find. Grabbed because I used to sing this to my littlest. Illustrations pleasantly akin to those of [a:Gyo Fujikawa|30312|Gyo Fujikawa|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1516986329p2/30312.jpg]. Just a big "Aww...." Recommended to newborn thru age 3.
The illustrations are cute, but there isn't much else to the book. There are more engaging, fun A-B-C books out there. This seemed to be a great book because of its lyrical quality (and s/he loves music), but it didn't fly.

Another thrift store find that I forgot we had. Perfect for my little boy who loves the alphabet and books that you can sing (too bad he has to listen to my terrible voice doing the singing!).
A You're Adorable takes one through the alphabet with each letter. A fun pick me up and sing-along for children who are learning the alphabet.
Lovely pictures accompany this rendition of the old-time favorite song, A You're Adorable, now proving a hit with the current younger set. The song, originally published in 1948 was made popular by a version recorded by Perry Como with the Fontane Sisters in 1949.
This colorful book teach children about the alphabet.

A joyful way to say the alphabet while expressing how special the children are.
Great for a felt board

Martha Alexander was born in 1920 in Georgia. She attended the Cincinnati Academy of Art, and lived in many places, including New York, Alaska, and Washington state, before settling in Honolulu, Hawaii. Alexander was an artist since childhood, trying her hand at ceramics, doll making, fabric and clothing design, portrait painting, children's show more murals and paintings, decorative collages and mosaics, and teaching art to adults and children. She said after attending the Cincinnati Academy of Art, that she did not find her niche in the art world until, at the age of forty-five, she was given her first children's book to illustrate. She knew then that her long search for the right medium of expression had been more than justified. Alexander was an author and an illustrator of children's books that dealt mostly with what it's like to grow up. Martha Alexander wrote and illustrated the Blackboard Bear books and has written and illustrated a host of books for children. She died in 2006. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
