Summary: The book is about a little girl who is playing dress up in her mother's closet. She names all of these things and when her mother finds her, she says she cannot wear those things to the party. In the end, the girl wore a simple green dress.

Personal reaction: I love poetry books like these that keep everything tied together and when there is a pattern such as this one. As a girl, I can also relate to her playing dress-up, ever gets old no matter what your age!

Classroom extension: This book is a great rhyming book, could be good for teaching words that have similar ending sounds. The repetition is also great, it would have the children reading along by the end!
