a heavyweight book in every respect
"Magnum magnum" is het 4e grote boek over het fotoagentschap Magnum dat ik heb gelezen en bekeken. Voor het boek zijn 6 foto's van ieder van in totaal 69 Magnum-fotografen uitgezocht door een collega Magnum-fotograaf en voorzien van een korte toelichting. Het is zonder meer een mooi boek geworden. De teksten vind ik niet zo bijzonder (***) in vergelijking met het boek "Magnum stories" en de selectie van de foto's niet zo bijzonder als die in "Magnum degrees". Toch zitten er genoeg bijzondere foto's in het boek om het een aanwinst te maken voor iedere fotograaf.
