Here's what I said in the Children's Books group on GR:

If anyone is still trying to get The Golem, one of the 77 Honors. don't bother. ?�The illustrations are arty, and it's difficult to make out what's going on in them. ?Ã¡The plot doesn't make sense; too much is left out. ?Ã¡It doesn't make the Jews look better than the mob accuses them of being. ?Ã¡ Wait 'til we get to the 97 books for a newer, better book about the Golem....
