Bill Slider's team are faced with investigated a grisly hotel death in a fire, which at first sight appears a possible suicide but Bill's suspicions seem confirmed when other related suspicious deaths are identified. As usual a complex plot with many well-drawn characters keeps you guessing to the end.
Far too complicated and the conclusion was unconvincing.
