About me Serious bibliophile. Eternal student.
My mom has a catalogue of her books (which number in the thousands) on her computer (she took a few Microsoft classes and made her own - very nice, I must say), and eventually I was going to get around to doing the same thing, until I saw someone with this on their blog. So naturally I had to have one. And here I am.

I'm a Slytherin, baby, and PROUD OF IT!
And since we're on the subject of The Boy Who Lived, I will admit that I am somewhat interested (read: OBSESSED) with getting the books in foreign languages. I have 1 in Irish Gaelic, Ancient Greek, & German; 1-2 in Latin; the whole set in Spanish, French & Russian; now I'm working on getting 2-7 in German, & 1-7 Italian, and Portuguese. So there are some books in my Harry Potter collection that I may not actually sit and read all the way through, but they are there (and I'm buying them because I would love to be able to read them in those languages one day).
---
About my library Lots and lots of "Urban Fantasy" - which basically means I love the supernatural in modern settings. The first author I read in this genre was Laurell K. Hamilton, followed by Kelley Armstrong. They were the big 2 for a while, until I found Kim Harrison. I was up to 3! Then came L. A. Banks, and now I have quite the collection (as you will see when I finish the cataloging). I have read a lot of them, most are still unread but I will get there eventually - I have faith in myself.
When I have time to spare for television, you'll find me watching much of the same. Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Supernatural, Moonlight, Ghost Whisperer, Forever Knight, Firefly, Smallville (I couldn't resist, Superman was the man when I was a kid). I also love love love Scrubs, CSI (all 3 sets), Bones, Without A Trace, NUMB3RS, Mythbusters, Smash Lab, and then there are lots of educational kid shows I watch with the cutie you see in the picture (my now 20 month old daughter - doesn't she look like an angry elf there?). Classic kids shows we watch are Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street, The Muppet Show. And by watch I mean I sit in the same room - usually with a book propped open while she scampers around and dances to the music on the shows.

So what are your thoughts of True Blood now? I am a bit disappointed in Pam. The jury is still out on whether I like Eric or not. He wasn't cast as fabulous as in the book but we will see how he carries himself in the upcoming shows. I am getting used to Bill though. Tara still bugs me too. But I am addicted to it and will hold on to watching them weekly.
I am starting Pure Blood today. Looks like it will be good. But I know I am rushing thru it because I am due to receive 3 books in the mail tomorrow: Succubus on Top, Faefever and Storm Born. All of which I have heard wonderful reviews. So I will be locked away in my room for sometime :) Gotta get it all in before class starts up!!
So little time :)

I LOVE the Sookie series. I am dying to watch the HBO series coming out this Sunday. I wonder what they will do to it. I am afraid to know what they will change but I hope they keep the good stuff. It is called True Blood.
I have put the Yasmine Galenorn series on hold and will check that one out next. I am currently reading the 3rd Dante Valentine book. (Have you read that one yet? I really enjoy this series.) Once I finish that one, I will read the Kitty ones. I picked all those up from the library today. I am thoroughly excited I have so much to read this week.
Did you finish the Keri Arthur one yet? Let me know what you think.
Anyway, back to household stuff so I can sit down and read once it is done :) There just isn't enough time in the day!

I have been really good with the book diet, but can not resist a good bargain.

I read Cast in Shadows, Michelle West (Sagara, whatever!) and really loved it, but when checking my shelves realised I had book 3 not book 2. So have bought on ebay and getting sent to work, so naughty but he will never notice, there are 92 on the shelf already, one more is a mere grain of sand in the desert!
Did you pick up anything exciting in Borders?

Thanks for adding my library to your interesting libraries. :) As soon as my cat code barcode scanner arrives I'll have a tonne of books in there. I don't know if you saw on my profile, but I also have a Paranormal/Urban Fantasy Book Review blog at http:/sidhevicious.bravejournal.com/ If you ever need any suggestions for new authors or books, feel free to ask. Have a great week!
