I used to listen to it on audiobook as a kid, and it's stuck with me to this day! ( ) I am always on the hunt for books that feature curious, clever, kind, brave boys. This book exactly satisfies. Odd is willing to take a group of forest animals in, they, in turn accept his help to defeat the frost giant that had taken over Asgaurd. The writing and pace are both gentle, leaving the reader interested in how they will get back home, without being subjected to too much peril or scariness. It was a great choice for reading aloud to my five year old, although I did edit one or two sentences.
AwardsNotable Lists
