Oh my, oh my, oh my, Meghan March the queen of addictive reads has proven once again with her latest offering why she is deserving of the title. Black Sheep slowly reeled me in until I was completely hooked on Cannon and Drew’s story. I could not get enough.

This is the first book in the Dirty Mafia duet and it has a wicked cliffhanger ending that had me screaming at my kindle. I was aware there would be a cliffhanger, but I sure did not expect that shocker. Thank goodness, I received the show more arc for the sequel. I do not think my heart could manage the long wait.

Suspenseful, intense, sexy, passionate, provocative and addictive is how I would describe this story. It had me biting my nails, as I feared Drew’s secret would come to light, thereby placing her in extreme danger.

Meghan’s heroines are strong and independent, and Drew Carson was no different. She has balls of steel, infiltrating the mob world so she can gather evidence needed to take down the Casso crime family. Being an investigative journalist who has broken many stories, she had only to worry about getting out alive. Well, that was until she laid eyes on Cannon Freeman and she realized that not only did she put her life in danger, her heart was also at risk.

Cannon is the illegitimate son of the notorious mob boss Dominic Casso. I expected him to be ruthless and uncaring, but I met a man with a heart of gold. Not that under the right circumstances he would not become ruthless.

I loved Drew and Cannon. I thought they were great together. The way Cannon stepped up to protect her when his father had her in his cross hairs revealed his protective nature, which I found endearing.

Narration
This is my first time listening to Andi Ardnt and Sebastian York, and I loved their voices. They brought the characters and the story to life. I had fun listening to their narration.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Black Sheep provided an intense and suspenseful read that you cannot afford to miss

Creole Kingpin by Meghan March was a brilliant, fast-paced read that had me eagerly flipping the pages. I knew going into this book that I would be in for one heck of a ride, and March did not disappoint. This journey proved more intense than her Legend Trilogy. Her ability to create relatable and likable characters be they good or bad and a captivating and realistic story will have fans eager for more.

Magnolia and Moses were characters with questionable reputations and persons may consider show more them irredeemable. After meeting Moses in the Legend Trilogy and learning, he would be the hero/anti-hero of this book, I kept wondering if my feelings towards him would change. He had grown on me, but he had secrets, which made me wary. I loved his protective nature when towards Magnolia and besides, any man willing to die for the woman he loves can’t be all that bad.

I admired Magnolia, faults and all. Here we have a woman who clawed her way from the slums of New Orleans to make a name for herself as the most infamous madam of New Orleans. Tough and kick ass, she takes flak from no one, especially Moses who had been absent from her life for the past fifteen years.

The sexual tension between these two sizzled and burned. Fifteen years apart did nothing to douse the flames of their desire for each other. If anything, it made it burn hotter than ever.

This story had its share of mystery, suspense, drama, angst, humour and swoon worthy moments, which when combined provided an unputdownable read.

Now all familiar with the author’s work, knows her penchant for shocking cliff-hangers, which leaves her readers champing at the bit for more. Well, Creole Kingpin was no different. The cliff-hanger did not produce the shocking effect I expected, but it sure left me wanting more of Moses and Magnolia’s world.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Overall, Creole Kingpin was an amazing read which I would recommend to fans of the author and to readers who have never read her books.

The second book in the trilogy is on my hands and I couldn't be happier. And worried because that was one heck of an ending and completely unexpected! Buy the book now to help the author, but read it when book three is out. Trust me on that.

I liked the book more than I liked book 1. Forge and India still have a rocky relationship, but it I felt like they were starting to build something beautiful and they could truly have a happy end. They have a lot of ups and downs and you never really show more know where they are standing and that is a part of the charm I guess. I can say that I fell for Forge in this book and that we saw a softer side of him even though he was still the Forge everyone knows and is terrified of. India proves that she is a kick arse lady and I believe that in book 3 she will shine.

We got to see Crey and Holly and it was fabulous! I love these two and it was great seeing them again. And Crey is very helpful which gave him extra points in my book. He is a wonderful hero. Forge is also good and I want to see him been sweet in the next book. Well, as sweet as a man like him can be.

I felt more at ease with this book than I did with book one because now I am on familiar waters and I am able to give 5 stars to the book. Everything clicked for me with this one. A lot of things are going on in this book and you don't want to miss it. The pace is faster, India and Forge have a lot of chemistry and there isn't a moment of peace for the reader in the book. What more do you need in order to read it?

Wow! What a ride. This is the final installment in the Legend trilogy and it was worth the wait. I enjoyed every word from start to finish. It was absolutely delightful and in my opinion the best of the series.

Fast-paced, suspenseful, sexy, dramatic and mix in some twists you have all the ingredients of an engaging read and The Fight Forever had it all. After the nerve-wracking ending in House of Scarlett, I couldn’t wait to see how Gabriel would handle this precarious situation.

I admired show more Scarlett from the moment of her introduction. However, she made me proud in this installment. Her fighting spirit stood out. I loved how she stood up to the bullies and haters in her life. It was good to see she recognized she deserved a lot more than what they had dished out to her.

As for Gabriel, I am totally head over heels for him. He has been through so much and deserved love and happiness in his life. By the end of the story he had all that and more. Together they made a great team, and I enjoyed watching them grow as individuals and as a couple.

The secondary characters added their own blend of spice to the story. A few of them intrigued me and I am secretly hoping their stories are in the making.

The story had several surprises and quite a few laugh out loud moments. Added to that were several exciting moments, which kept me on the edge of my seat. There were a few times when the threat level against Scarlet and Gabriel intensified, and I feared for them both.

I am still in shock with how the situation from Gabriel’s past ended. I never expected it to play out the way it did, but I loved it. I thought it was a brilliant way to tie up that aspect of the story.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Meghan March delivered a spell-binding conclusion to the Legend trilogy. I highly recommend this series to readers love romance, suspense and complex characters.
