This book makes clear why religion and sex are so closely connected and why both are healthy only when infused by the love of justice.
This has been a formative book for me recently. It has helped shape how I understand who I am. I strongly recommend it for anyone going through a discernment process related to ministry. It is also really important for those interested in the history of the ordination of women in the Episcopal Church in the Unite States.
Very interesting article on how the split between our ideas of justice and our ideas of the erotic are causing some of the problems of patriarchal society and some suggestions for changing things from within the Christian worldview.
The author sees Jesus as our brother, infused with a sacred power and passion for embodying right (mutual) relation, and ourselves with him in this commitment. She goes on to explore how we might live this way.
