A Passionate Mind in Relentless Pursuit: The Vision of Mary McLeod Bethune (Significations) by Noliwe Rooks
nonfiction/history - to call Mrs. Bethune a Black educator and social reformer would be understating her immense impact. This was not quite a biography but rather the author's reflections on various achievements attained by the subject and I enjoyed reading a book with such a focus even as I struggle to absorb all that she accomplished. A great addition to any academic's library.
