One of two companion volumes which though not explicitly Christian are clearly explaining and applying many classical Christian moral concepts such as intention, acts and omissions etc. and helpfully critiquing predominant secular consequentialist thought. This volume is focussed on applying this to life issues (abortion, euthanasia, animals, capital punishment, war).

Oderberg is a conventionalist and a scrupulous hedger, but probably not a CIA contractor. He defies progressive stereotypes. He does not meet my criterion of providing a motivational basis for ethical short-range decisions, that can hold the balance against strategically disastrous short-range show more business decisions. show less
