A lovely way to learn your first numbers. I really like it because it is all mice and I have a special affection for mice. The drawings are wonderful. With cute surprises to look for.
To a child, joy comes in the simplest of forms. With this in mind Cyndy Szekeres offers this happy collection of verses, filled with her delightful animals. For reading and sharing together, these poems remind all families what children already know: that life is filled with wonderful things -- we just have to know where to look for them.
This is baby aminal book by the numbers, but with VERY cute illustrations. Bunny + Duck is an unintuitive but sublime combination, like watermelon and feta cheese.
I recently read “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” and I liked it. It is about a curious rabbit, Peter, who goes into Mr. McGregor’s garden after his mother explicitly told him not to. I liked this book for three reasons.
I really liked the illustrations in the book and I thought they followed the story wonderfully. I thought they were cute and very detailed. They made it possible that someone could follow the story without the words. My favorite illustration was when Peter ate all the show more radishes and started to feel sick.
I found the plot of the story to be simple to follow. The story started by Peter’s mothers telling them not to go into the garden because they could be killed. Peter went into the garden anyway and got caught by Mr. McGregor, who chased him around for a while, this would definitely be the climax of the story. Peter was in tears because he was so afraid. In the end Peter made it home safely but was also sick while his brothers and sisters got to eat dinner.
I also found the character of Peter Rabbit to be very relatable. At one point the author said Peter was very “naughty”. There is always a time where curiosity gets the best of you and you want to explore and not follow rules.
In conclusion, “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” is a good children’s book. I feel that it made a very interesting story and cute illustrations to portray the main idea that breaking the rules has consequences. show less
