The first book, 50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover, was hands down one of my favorite books in 2022. to say that I was excited about this book and to be back in the Bower Boys world would not be a stretch of the imagination. I was right in feeling that way because this book and these brothers are special. The storyline is different and fresh. It is not one that I have encountered in romance, and I read a lot of romance. The repercussions of what their father cost them are huge and show more crippling. Yet, these men take it and still persevere.
The author does an incredible job and making her characters come alive, and that was especially true of Des. I cannot imagine what this must have been like for him and what he lost. In the first book, you could see how the previous years had hardened him, as it should have considering he had an almost picture-perfect life. I loved seeing him process this and soften. I liked seeing how he navigated the fallout of his father's actions. I felt connected with him and felt his anger and his disillusionment. I am not, generally, a fan of Second chance romances but if they were written like this I would be because this was beautiful.
Witty dialogue, fantastic characters, and an authentic and mesmerizing storyline kept me engaged from the first page to the last page. I cannot wait to read the next book. This book will definitely be in my top books of 2023. show less

Legs is the first book that I have read by Kelly Siskind. I am not sure how or why that is even possible. A book about two of of my three favorite things ; Wine, Coffee, and hot dirty talking men. In this case, she was only missing the coffee but I forgive her for that because holy titfire did she deliver on the rest. This book was decadent and full bodied. Her research on wine and the descriptions left me able to taste them. Do you know how hard that is to be able to close your eyes and show more taste/smell the wine with just words? JUST WORDS. Truly a gift.
Rachel. I loved everything about her. I could relate to her. I know what it is like to flit around from job to job searching for that spark. Her relationships with her mother and her sisters is endearing. Her friends were a hoot. I am so thankful that there is going to be stories about them too. Even her relationship with George was endearing. She truly was Sunshine like Jimmy called her.
Jimmy. Sweet sex on a stick. His dirty talking mouth. His knowledge of wine. His heartache over the decisions that had led him to this point of his life. His wild bad boy, tattoed, pierced, personna just serve to remind us not to judge a book by its cover. When he was reminding Rachel of their first six times I wanted to lick him. Or clone him. Or even bottle him up and savor him on numerous occasions. He was that delectable. /swoon.
This might have been my first read by Kelly, but I can assure you that it will not be my last. I adored everything about this book. I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book as provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own and I have not been compensated. show less

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this book. The premise was fresh and interesting, the characters endearing, and the romance incredibly steamy.
Clementine Abernathy is a tired, jaded thief – a real-life Robin Hood – stealing from the rich to give to the poor. This end goal is the only thing that keeps her going, but when she gets to the sleepy town of Whichway, Nebraska, she finds her world turned upside down and her heart ensnared by the fumbling but sinfully handsome Maxwell show more “Jack” David the Third. There’s only one problem – she’s there to steal his priceless, unsigned Van Gogh.
Jack David hasn’t always had it easy. Although his family’s wealth has provided him far more advantages in his life than were ever afforded Clementine in foster care, to his core, Jack is awkward and shy and liable to put his foot in his mouth when talking to the gorgeous, mysterious stranger who has captured his attention. As things heat up between Jack and Clementine, they must decide once and for all if love can overcome anything.
Jack and Clementine’s relationship was a fun one to watch develop. They both start out slightly unsure and a little overwhelmed by their instant connection but throughout the course of the book, their relationship blooms into something that is equal parts sweet and steamy. The actual storyline is both humorous and serious, which allows the reader to truly connect with each of the characters. Jack and Clementine are relatable and quirky and so right for one another, regardless of their differences. There are some wonderful moments of suspense and a heck of a plot twist towards the end. Siskind’s stunningly flawed characters and original plot combine to form a book that I just couldn’t put down. I simply adored Don’t Go Stealing My Heart!

5 unbelievable stars
This entire series has been a delight to read. I fell in love with each one of these characters and became invested in wanting to know their stories. Each of these books are a standalone but the characters interact in each of the stories. From the beginning I knew there was going to be a story to tell with Gwen and boy was I right on that hunch. I have been eagerly awaiting for this book after reading the first chapter at the end of Stud. I was hoping that the rest of the show more story would live up to that chapter since I was a bit leery with the premise that this story would be told in a 36 hour time-frame. I can say that I shouldn't have worried because this author used her amazing writing ability and wrote the best book of the three.
Gwen. There are not enough words to describe how much I loved this character. I loved watching her go through the steps of trying to come to terms with who her father was. In trying to fulfill her birthday wish she discovered so much about herself, her relationship with her mother, and August. August. Good Lord. That man was deliciousness and hotter than Hades, I loved watching him wrestling with his emotions and the anger and bitterness he had over the past. I loved that he knew what he felt for Gwen was real regardless of the past. Together they were kismet. Plain and simple. There is no other word that comes close to describing them.
While the story might have been told in only a day and a half it was not an instalove type romance nor did it feel rushed. There was history here. They were best friends before they became eventual lovers. There was betrayal and many lost years but the connection that these two had was beyond anything that could only be contained in mere hours. They proved that there is no such thing as coincidence and that there is truth to the old saying, "to every season there is a reason" (I used to hate being told that when I was young and complaining about winter--yet now I can see the wisdom in the words).
I am a sucker for symbolism in books so seeing all the hidden "Easter eggs" (as I like to call them because I am a huge gamer and nerd) of the power of three; friends, boyfriends who were also their own threesome, and wishes were all intertwined throughout the story culminating in one final scavenger hunt made me giddy! The details and 'coincidences' of how that scavenger hunt came about exposing the truth was a beautiful reminder that not everything is as it seems on the surface and sometimes the universe has bigger plans for us. If we change one certain thing the butterfly effect happens and for Gwen and August they wouldn't be in the here and now.
I am sad to see this story and series end. There is a part of me that wishes that Finch gets his story too. Regardless, of what this author writes, I will be there eagerly awaiting to gobble it up. show less
