Dream a Little Dream of Me (The Thorntons) by Iris Morland Reading an Iris Morland novel is like walking through a dream. It's easy to get lost in the beauty of the moment, so in my opinion Dream a Little Dream of Me is the perfect title. Trent and Lizzie's tale is passionate, heartbreaking, nostalgic and redeeming. It's also complicated. From secrets, to misunderstandings, pride and insecurities, second chances don't come easy. A little maturity goes a long way to helping reach your heart's show more desire and with this series Ms. Morland makes all the right moves to set the soul on fire. show less
I thought this was a quick, cute read. The writing flowed well for the most part, but I had my problems with both of the characters at different times. Dani was quirky, and funny, and I liked her for the most part. There isn't a lot to their relationship besides the sex, in my opinion. They don't talk about things that are going on in their lives with each other. Jacob seemed like a good guy, but this story is Dani's POV until the epilogue, so you don't get to see his motives. I thought what show more he did was pretty crappy, and although I understand there were circumstances beyond his control, you don't betray the woman you supposedly love. The ending was sweet though, and they get their HEA. There is a little cliffhanger at the end of this story, but it's for Dani's sister Mari.

I loved the concept of this and got a huge kick out of all the flower puns. What's not to love about florist erotica? My only beef with it, is the same beef I have with nearly all erotica. So much of it is so damn unbelievable. A 26 year old virgin has the most orgasmic sex of her life and is suddenly the most horny sex goddess in the world! She picks up on everything INSTANTLY! Other than that, I didn't hate the plot. A cute, quirky girl who runs her parent's flower shop runs into the boy show more who stood her up for prom and now he's working at his parent's RIVAL FLOWER SHOP! Duh duh duh. Obviously sparks fly! She loses her virginity! She makes beautiful flower arrangements! Her judgmental cat decides she likes him! There is a misunderstanding! All the usual tropes, with more humor and candor than most. I think I'm just cynical; there wasn't really anything wrong with this erotica; maybe I just need to take a breather and go back to true crime for a while. show less
It took me forever to get into this book. Could be the face that this was book three and I’m a bit OCD about reading books in order. This book may have triggers for some as it touches on dementia, divorce, drug abuse, depression, suicide attempts, PTSD, anxiety and online bullying. You get real life affects, without all the sugarcoating. There is humor where you wouldn’t expect there to be with the darker subject, but it made me smile all the same. There is an undeniable connection show more between the two main characters. Will there be a future for them to look forward to? Will they make their feeling known? show less
