I really enjoyed Lucas & Alice! I thought it was hilarious that her occupation is a Regency romance writer! Alice was devastated when her fiancé & best friend revealed they’d been cheating on her for months. She was on deadline for her book & having complete writers block, went on her honeymoon by herself hoping the location would inspire her. The location didn’t inspire but once she met Prince Lucas, the ideas started flowing.

Lucas was enthralled once he met Alice. From the beginning, show more he felt that her ex, Mason was an idiot. The chemistry was strong & Queen Anna gave them the idea of a fake engagement to make Lucas look more settled & responsible. It had the added consequence of allowing them to spend more time together & act on their attraction. What happens when the fake engagement comes to an end & Lucas betrays her trust? Do they get their HEA?

I really enjoyed reading this story. It’s been fun reading the series & seeing how much Lucas has matured since we first met him. From the original, cocky playboy to the mature, businessman looking out for his country. I enjoyed seeing Alice learn to accept her body & her attitude & own both of them. She showed Mason & Riley that she wasn’t a pushover & wouldn’t give them a second chance to hurt her. This was another enjoyable read by Ms. Gilmore. show less

Hidden Hollywood - The Happy Endings Book Club series begins on a high note with this energetic, playful and sincere bundle of feel good fun. An addiction to books and romance helped reel me in because any lover of books I would gladly befriend. Behind the glamour and wealth of big city lives, Claire and Jake have a simpleness on their minds. Matchmaking, a little slight of hand and let the show more masquerade begin.

Inviting Trouble -
Once a Kylie Gilmore fan, there is no escape. Inviting Trouble is just another reason why resistance is futile. How can you help but love an author that uses charm and humor to deliver relevant advice? Did I mention she’s does all this while stealing your heart? The lesson: Every color is special, don't be afraid to let them shine through. I just lost another little piece of my heart and I'm so okay with that.

So Revealing continues to play up the value of friendship and family while cluing in the clueless males of the Campbell brood. Ty is an idiot at times, but his pursuit of Charlotte helped him rise to the rank of lovable goofball in my eyes. Charlotte needed to lighten up her outlook and Ty was just the person to help her do that. If laughter is the best medicine, I would gladly take a double dosage, as long as Kylie Gilmore is holding the spoon. show less

Another great addition to the Clover Park series. Each book could be read as a stand alone but there are enough recurring characters that it makes it worth it to read them all. Kylie brings a sense of humor to her writing that shows through in the scenes & atmosphere of the entire book. Everyone knows surgeons are stuffy & arrogant so to see Jared subbing for his brother in a porcupine costume was hilarious. You can just see his face as he tries to back out of it. I fell in love with Jared show more when he not only followed through but then became as involved with the kids as Emily. This is a fun, sexy romance with just the right amount of comedy.

The main difference between this and the other books in the series is the sober underlying truth that Emily is dealing with pediatric patients and has an extremely tender heart. Emily had not taken any time off from the ward because the last time she did, her patient took a downward turn. She just knows that if she had been there, she could have caught it earlier and reversed it. The other underlying story line is that sweet Emily has a stalker. This adds some drama and suspense along with some twists & turns to the plot line that are not expected.

Once I picked up this story, I couldn't put it down. It is well worth the price! show less
