Pepper North

Ellie opens a cupcake shop where Garrett is her landlord. They meet one night as he comes into the shop while she is baking and dancing because she did not lock her door. Garrett tells her to always lock her doors when she is there alone. He takes her home. Both are attracted to the other but don't know if the other is into the Daddy/little dynamic. Then Garrett remembers where he has seen her before. The next time they meet, four men have come into Ellie's shop because she did not lock the show more door and Garrett happens to stop by. He chases them off but tells Ellie she will be spanked because she did not listen to him. Will this lead to a relationship between them? Will Garrett become Ellie's Daddy?

I enjoyed this story. I liked that Garrett buzzes around her to protect her and take care of her. He knows early after meeting that she is the one for him. Ellie thinks he is but is a little slower in deciding to follow her heart. She's a little. Garrett likes that she will go into toddler headspace when with him at his home. He provides everything for her. She tries whatever he wants and discovers she likes it. She does talk back to him if she does not agree but he can usually use logic as to why she should make a different choice. It was fun to watch the dynamic between them as Daddy/little and as adults.

Zoey walks 20 miles for a job interview after her car breaks down. Since she was late, she is denied access to the interview site. With the rain falling down, she finds some shelter near the gates of the site. Dr. Richards returns from his jog to find Zoey there and brings her into his home. Listening to her story, he knows she is the one for him. Explaining what he is looking for, will Zoey be accepting of what he wants? Will Dr. Richards be the one for her?

While I show more have not read many Daddy/Little Girl stories, this one is excellent. Ms. North explains and shows what a relationship with the age gap and the Daddy/Little Girl/domestic discipline aspect is about. She goes into the hard parts that an adult becoming a Little deals with in terms of giving up independence, relying on someone else, not working, being a baby or child. She also shows how the Daddy has to watch his Little for signs that he is doing the right thing. She shows that communication is important for the two to get the relationship right.

I liked Dr. Richards. I loved Zoey. She is young but bright and optimistic. She questions and thinks. She accepts but only after considering her options. Knowing the hard life she has lived, I liked that Dr. Richards wants to make it easier for her. He does but he does not take her acceptance for granted. He is delighted when she decides to stay with him.

While not a favorite genre for me, I will read more to see how each relationship is different. show less

Wraith is a big presence. I knew it was only a matter of time when he tracked Caroline in the bar. No slow burn here. I mean Caroline and Wraith's second interaction involved a kiss. It was not long afterwards that these two hooked up. Just call him Daddy Wraith.

This book is my first introduction to Pepper North. I love spice and this book had the heat. I listened to the ALC version of this book. If you want to really experience the spice, you will want to listen to the audiobook. show more Narrators, Ash Kingsley and Troy Duran bring the voices of Caroline and Wraith to life. show less

As Ivy is leaving the bank after working late, she is kidnapped by men who want codes to the bank. She is found in a garbage dump behind a club by Steele, Shadowridge Guardians MC president. He pulls her out of the dump and goes to the hospital with her. She has grabbed his cut and won't let go as he represents safety to her. He takes her to the clubhouse of the MC when she is released from the hospital. She doesn't remember all of what happened to her. When she regains her memory, she show more finally tells Steele what he wants to know. Can he keep her safe? Has he found his Little?

I enjoyed this story. I liked the characters. I could relate to Ivy. She's alone. She's attracted to Steele. She wants more freedom as she heals. Steele is good with her. He protects her. He helps her. He will do whatever it takes for her to trust him totally. When she finally lets him in all the way, it is beautiful to watch two lonely people come together giving and receiving what each never expected.

I am looking forward to the rest of the series. show less
