Superheros want to un-kill a lot of people.
3/4 (Good).
It doesn't feel too long, and often takes some space to breathe. The plot is kind of a mess, but it's a fun mess. It does the things it needs to do.

For my money, this is as good as the Marvel Cinematic Universe gets. Building to an event following 19 other films, combining countless characters into a single narrative, making any of it land emotionally and having the story be easy to follow and make sense -- on its own, that is an accomplishment. It also being one of the best films in the entire series is frankly more than I had ever dare expect from it. I think I might still hold a slight preference for the original "Avengers", but the show more sheer accomplishment of this film is mind-boggling enough whether or not it is best, second best or third best out of 20. It's up there, is what matters. All the thumbs all the way up. show less
I sometimes get bored with these kind of films where it's just 1 fight after the next. And there is a lot of fighting but there are enough breaks and occasional jokes in this for me not to have got bored despite its length. And "everyone " is in it. And I did not expect that end!
I got too bored to finish. Rather unusually, it seemed like a waste of some talented actors with some real comedic acting skills. Bits of slapstick action were kind of good. But life's too short to plow through it all. I think that if it had been a caper film all through, it could have been quite watchable. But it also needed to have drama, and it is reduced to doing that through perfectly arbitrary rules and character actions.
