Packed with facts and colour photographs, beginning with an "unforgettable" famous photo of a Tesla car in space (I had never seen before), and covers much of the stuff found in other books, names the animals who made it into space, and info about what the ISS looks like from earth. Arranged as 46 short chapters, such as Centrifuge Training, Psychology, Space Hotels, Terraforming, and the like, this book provides a good overall summary of the subject, includes quirky facts, such as a call show more from the internet phone on the ISS would read as the number 000000 on the receiving phone.
I appreciated the mention of space elevators in fiction (Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator/Arthur C Clarke's The Fountains of Paradise), and Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy on the subject of terraforming.
The book ends with speculative future Mars missions, including landing and the view of the sky.
One thing about reading out of date astronomy books, this one 2018, is that the questions raised in the book often have answers now, so you don't have to wait to find out. In 2018, there had been no emergency medical evacuation from the ISS, but this happened in 2026 when Mike Fincke mysteriously lost the ability to speak for 20 minutes; and we now know of the successful mission of the Chang'e 4 landing on the far side of the moon to gather rock.

Muito bom!
De forma clara e resumida, o livro aborda vários assuntos relacionados a cosmologia, desde a formação de sistemas planetários ao suposto multiverso. Tirando a tradução que não é lá essas coisas, é um bom livro.
A pretty accessible entry into the science of the Sun and other stars. A good mix of hard science, biography of the scientists involved, as well as diagrams which help to elucidate some of the harder to grasp concepts. An all round introduction to stellar science.
