I picked this up at a clearance book outlet. There are great ideas in this book for transforming everyday items. The plastic tubing for you clothes dryer can be made into pumpkins, cigar boxes to treasure or jewelry boxes, pots and pans to outdoor fountains, creamer containers made into beautiful bath salts containers. Antique tables into display tables for momentos and photos. Even those annoying Christmas card boxes can be transformed into a "vacation" momentos display.

This book is a nice collection of a number of different types of projects to crochet. Some of the projects even use fabric instead of yarn. I liked this book a lot, but I came across some patterns that did not give sizes, nor did they state of a certain amount of materials (such as yardage) you might need to make the item. This leaves you at a loss when you go shopping, either in your home supply, or at the store.
I did like most all of the patterns in the book. The selection of items to make show more was many.
This is a book to keep in your library to refer back to time and time again in case you might want to make a project in this book. The cover image is an afghan that does have the pattern in the book. It is beautiful. The details of this American Flag Afghan are many. This is a Leisure Arts book.

This book has 52 afghans grouped by theme related to the four seasons. Each afghan is pictured and a list of materials with the instructions for completing the afghan make it possible for the reader to make the afghan of their choice. The standard abbreviations, or "crochet code", is used in the instructions with a few diagrams for extra embellishments on some of the projects.
Fifteen antique-style quilts are pictured with complete instructions for materials, cutting, and piecing with photos and diagrams. Quilting diagrams are also given to add to the heirloom quality of the quilt project. Other projects are also given using the blocks.
