A Baby Just like Me is a book about a little girl named Martha that is about to have a new baby sister. She tells her friend Sam all about it at their sleepover. They get so excited that they will have someone new to play with. When the baby came home they were surprised at how small she was, and that she couldn’t do anything. So they waited for the baby to grow and she didn’t change much. Martha is the protagonist for the story, she is having a new baby sister which is topic amongst her friend, Sam. Sam and Martha are playmates and are anxious for Martha's baby sister to come. Sam and Martha started to plan for the baby's arrival by planning a puppet show, a band, and finally nice clothes. When she does come in a bundle, they try to train her, but in vain she is too small. She then complains to her mom who replies it takes time for the baby to develop. As the baby slowly show more becomes a toddler, Martha and Sam start to entertain her again, and she starts to finally respond. A big sister expected that when her mom bought home her new baby sister she would be just like her. they would play together go out side and she would even give her old potty to her. Her and her friend sam found out that it would take time for the baby to be able to all those thing. She alson found out that she was just like her baby sister before she grew up. As time passed by her baby sister started doing all the things she could do, and she loved her.
