Persian Painting introduces the art of the Safavid history (16th century). The reproductions are beautiful and each is accompanied by information on the probable artist as well as a careful description of what is portrayed in the printing. The depictions are taken from the rich collection of Persian poetry and epic.
A classical exhibition of indian miniatures, but unfortunately mostly without colour fotos.
Documenting an exhibition at the Staatliche Museen in Germany, this book contains calligraphy, ceramics, metalwork, glass, ivory, jewelry, textiles, and painting; from 8th century Egypt to 17th century India.
Most beautiful miniature paintings from Moghul India
