Penny Birch is one of the leading lights in the literature of erotic chastisement, and 'Temper Tantrums' is well up to her excellent standard. The spankings are many, even though the book is even more replete with other humiliations, which frequently drift into the scatological area, but even given such emphases the book stays light-hearted and entertaining. Indeed, it might even be valued as a gastronomic travelogue for the region of the southh of France that forms its setting. The show more eponymous heroine, prone to enough wayward behaviour to justify the punitive treatment accorded to her soft rear parts by most of the people she meets, whether male or female. A most enjoyable yarn. show less
Isabelle Colraine is back! Now in her second year at OXford, she's hot on the trail of a rumoured secret society of female CP enthusiasts that go by the name 'the Rattaners'. Isabelle and her two sapphic buddies, Jasmine and Caroline, are out to discover if they exist and to join them at all costs. She also meets several new playmates along the way, including 2 older, female dominas.
Another winner from Penny Birch. I love this character and her sexual misadventures and I'm looking forward to show more reading her third. The situations that she puts these characters in are sometimes funny but always erotic. This one is just good, dirty fun and I highly recommend it. First published by Nexus in 2004. show less

I seldom bother with erotic works as those that I have read tended to consist of repetitive sex scenes with little plotline to speak of.
The two novels that I’ve read by Penny Birch, however, proved quite entertaining. This author has the ability to craft a storyline, rather than producing a dull narrative, which complements the erotic scenes.
Think I read this in 2003, thus my memory of it is somewhat hazy now, but I do remember being impressed with it on the most part.
