a whimsical little look at how we walk through life, and who we walk through it with. this is lovely, sweet, and at times funny. little micro-descriptions of the qualities we look at in people. this is pretty wonderful.

i think my favorite is her description of change: "Change wears my sister's moccasins....Change is very musical, but sometimes you must listen for a long time before you hear the pattern in his music."
Notes on the Need for Beauty
An Intimate Look at an Essential Quality
by J. Ruth Gendler

I really enjoyed this well rounded and well presented kinda romantic book on the many facets of beauty. This style really flowed for me because each part was defined and explored in such a loving way that I felt supported and informed all at the same time. Each section had thought provoking quotes, neat stories and a whole bunch of ponders that helped me to see the truth that beauty is far more than skin show more deep.

There were cute drawings throughout that gave a wonderful mystique to this interesting and inspirational read. I feel like this messenger is a preciously woven tapestry that I will continue to learn from for many years to come. I would recommend this book to anyone contemplating where the glory and abundance of life can truly be found. Thanks, J.

Wonderful book. She re-introduces us (if we hadn't already met them) to the qualities that come and go in our lives. Their personalities and quirks seem fresh, but in the end are as familiar to us as if they were old friends come to visit.
Lively and eclectic collection of poems and writings relating to Light as it changes from Dawn, through Daylight, Dusk, Twilight, and Night.
