Although I understand the value of Family Systems theory to benefit pastors, this book is mistitled: _Becoming a Healthier Person_ would do just as well!
Ronald Richardson has written an extremely readable introduction to the theory of Family Systems. He begins with his own journey of exploration and research and then goes on to explain what it would look like to become a "coach" as ministry to others...and I would say the targeted demographic could be one's church/synagogue or any other show more group that one was involved with.
An appendix lists addresses for:
Bowen Center for the Study of the Family
Eastern Seminsary
Leadership in Ministry, directed by Larry Matthews
Peter Steinke
and other ideas for finding resources in your area. show less
