I absolutely love Megaman, especially classic Megaman. This is a great item for any Megaman fan to have, and I bought it. It not only comnbines the art of Megaman and Megaman X from previous Complete Works, it also has new material in it. I almost bought the first Megaman Complete Works book a few years ago, but they were so expensive, and I am glad this one came along as I never bought the other one.
So why 4 stars? Well, some of the pictures are really small. Like bonus promotions and show more postcards, some of these images are practically little more than thumbnails, which disappoint me as there are some gorgeous full-page pictures in here but some of the smaller pictures should have been blown up as well. Nonetheless, it's a great item for any Mega Man fan. show less

Finally got my hands on an affordable copy of the long elusive, but much beloved Okami artbook. I learned so much from this collection of artworks, especially through the designer's commentary. The quality of the images vary, some are more pixelated than others but overall depicts many details and concepts clearly that are always a real treat to look and study, no matter who you are. The book is not a gaming guide with walkthroughs or strategies on enemy takedowns- it's 288 pages of show more incredible paintings, illustrations, and other artwork that reflect the Ukiyo-e style and Japanese mythology. Everything in the book is captioned and character designs are explained down to the detail of their own concept history, the artist's reflection and can even include why they wear what they wear and other lesser known trivia. There's quite a lot of information but it's all worth it since the storytelling aspect of this game is powerful. I think my only gripe is small enough to look over, but they don't give the (English) names of some of the characters. Okami is my favorite video game and it feels excellent to finally have this secured in my own library. I read it cover to cover and will find myself returning to it occasionally just to admire. I would recommend it to any art appreciator though, as I think it would leave a strong impression on them or at least inspire them to pick up the game/watch a walkthrough. show less
This is an lovely art collection with some rather nice images and is a decent collector's item, but if you do not own this collection, I recommend that you get the Rockman 20+5 (MM25) collection. That book includes all of the contents of Mega Man AND Mega Man X Official Complete Works, along with a good amount of new art and materials, and in my honest opinion, is a better investment than this book if you're looking for a more complete collection of official Mega Man art.
OK, so I ripped open the package and devoured this in two hours when I got home from work tonight. I'm a nerd. Sue me. Sue my pants right off.
This volume of the Phoenix Wright manga centers around Miles Edgeworth, the sexy, sexy prosecutor who is arguably the world's first gay video game hero. (Some argue that he is just dainty.) He is Phoenix Wright's uptight rival/friend/gay love interest. Tension and jokes abound.
To be honest, some of these comics didn't make much sense at all. Maybe show more it's just a weird translation. But that's not to say they didn't make me laugh.
It's the little things that cracked me up. Edgeworth buys a magazine called "Prosecutor's Friend" that includes a pull-out poster of the Judge. Phoenix and Maya argue about whether the Pink Princess is "sexy." Franziska goes whip shopping. It has its heartwrenching moments, too. Edgeworth goes to criminal lengths to keep sweet little Pearl from seeing a movie with a sad ending. Phoenix tries to convince Edgeworth that he is not alone in the world.
I really wouldn't recommend this to people who haven't played the games. They just would not understand it at all: you need to know going into it that Edgeworth is uptight and Phoenix is a slob and Gumshoe can't do anything right and Maya loves to eat and Franziska is a bitch. This book made even less sense than the first volume, and most of the humor comes from having fun with the foibles of characters that have been established in 3 games (Apollo Justice isn't mentioned here). It would be just like when I tried to jump into volume 6 of Fruits Basket: I had no idea what was happening. But Ace Attorney fans who have a soft spot for Edgey (hey, ladies!) will not be able to help but dig this. show less
