A fascinating account of a man following his dream, by devising a plan and giving someone else the chance to experience something remarkable. A story of developing friendships and trust.

A very interesting look at a China/Russia/Japan long gone as Newsham's trip was in 1984. Although his book was written a number of years later, it had a stronger sense of currency than did "Take me With You". Really made me think again about doing the Trans-Sib
