Essential companion to Schapera (1991) and all Tswana histories- very interesting and useful biographic reflection by Adam Kuper. Schapera said in 1986: "I think that I would like to be remembered--although I am sure I will not be-- as the equivalent, to the Tswana of what Pepys is to English Ethnography. After all, Pepys had no theories, but he was a damned good ethnographer..."
