Again, a tiny craftbook with nothing really going for it except Mary Engelbreit's name. On the back it says "an incomparable resource for homemade crafts", but I would argue this is hardly a resource. I guess you could get some ideas from the book, but most of these crafts are not exactly original or even interesting. About the best I can say is it contains a recipe for "Dutch Baby", something I've always wanted to try.
While this little book looks like Mary Engelbreit's other little books on the cover, it's not a book of her drawings. It is a tiny book of crafts to make in the summer (some created by Engelbreit, others by other editors) with page decorations, inside cover sheets and cover title page created by Mary Engelbreit. I'm not sure what this book is for. I like Engelbreit's little books because her drawings and pictures are a joy to look at. This book really is just using her name to sell itself. show more The crafts are so-so. It is not clear what kind of crafter this is aimed for: some crafts seem to be easy enough for children, but others need equipment like jigsaws and drills. If you are really going to make these things, a tiny book like this is not really what you want. There are a couple of recipes too, which nice in themselves, are not things you couldn't find in almost any cookbook: blueberry muffins and gazpacho. Kind of a disappointment. show less
You will find lots of idea's to make the most of Fall's arrival, with projects themed to the new school year, homecoming, Thanksgiving and more in this little book.
