Bishop Appleton shares his own insights and delight in the passages of the bible that speak most immediately to the mind and heart of man. He explores the wonders of this greatest of all books, bringing it alive to the world and leading readers on their own path to further study and deeper understanding.

Great book. There are numerous prayers for every occasion. Not a fan of the non-Christian prayers, but that probably makes me some kind of bigot.
An excellent anthology which, unusually, contains prayers from non-Christian as well as Christian traditions.
