From the Apostles to Wesley: Christian Perfection in Historical Perspective by William M. Greathouse
A clear history of the holiness doctrine from biblical times through John Wesley. I think Greathouse does stretch some interpretations at times, trying force what some have written to fit his mold.
A fantastic introduction to Wesleyan theology. It covers a lot of ground in a few pages. It is not exhaustive.
