I recently saw Chicago on a national tour and this CD recreates that music perfectly. (It doesn't reflect the film, so be aware of that.) It reflects the sassy/brassy characters and made me smile with 74 minutes of storytelling. This classic music has aged well in the years since 1996.

My favorites are We Both Reached for the Gun, Mr. Cellophane, and Razzle Dazzle. I am very glad I got the CD with the lyrics, synopsis, and pictures.

If you enjoy recordings of stage musicals, this recording show more belongs in your collection. show less
Very disturbing story about Dorothy Stratton who was killed by her scumbag husband.
2022 movie #72. 1979. Director/choreographer (Scheider) burns the candle at both ends trying to finish a movie and get a stage musical ready at the same time. Nominated for 11 Oscars. Director Bob Fosse based this on his own life.
