About the Author
Oppi Untracht's interest in crafts began in the 1930's and developed with Fine Arts degrees from New York University and Columbia. Metalwork, enameling, and jewelry are his special interests, and he has both taught and exhibited internationally in these mediums. As a photo-journalist and scholar, show more he has researched and recorded the crafts of many lands, particularly those of India and Nepal. He has written numerous articles for graphis, Craft Horizons, American Craft, and Colliers Encyclopedia, and is also the author of the books Enameling on Metal and Metal Techniques for Craftsmen. show less

I suspect the hazard information is out-of-date. Otherwise an excellent book with many useful pictures illustrating the techniques discussed.
