This was a fun book based on the Andromeda television series (but in an alternate timeline, near as I can tell). I enjoyed reading it, but it showed me that the ability to craft a tight, moving script does not necessarily translate to an ability to write smooth, polished prose. There were some technical/stylistic issues surrounding tense shifts that kept throwing me out of the story, and I'm fairly certain they were due to the inherent differences between scriptwriting and normal prose.
Fascinating book. The author should get a medal & lifetime's supply of chocolate for telling ALL with brutal honesty & whip-smart humor. Love that biochemistry is addressed here, & how compassionately this topic is handled.
I had a hard time with this book. I tried very hard to read it but I found there was a lot about the author's life, I just got tired of hearing about some of the things she did. I can understand providing examples but I just got tired of it. The parts that weren't about her life I found very clinical and unhelpful. I won't admit on the internet to having a love addiction but, if you are having problems, give it a try, can't hurt you right?
I liked the cover, it is pretty cute. I also like show more that the author had the cajones to put all this information about her life out to the world in order to help others, it is impressive, so props to that. show less
