Robert Crowther, acknowledged master of paper engineering, takes on a new challenge--and passes with flying colors. In this clever book, very young readers are invited to contemplate color. Each two-page spread is a solid expanse of red, yellow, pink, etc. But look closely, and discover tabs and flaps that, when opened, reveal an array of similarly colored critters and objects. Pull one yellow tab and a big bold sign appears, announcing "yellow." Pull another tab, and six windows are show more suddenly filled with the sun, a lemon, a sandcastle, an egg yolk, a daffodil, a banana--there's even a canary perched on the tab. But wait, there's more! Two additional flaps can be lifted to uncover chicks and a stick of butter. Red, green, pink, blue, orange, white, and black are similarly explored, with little windows that can also help young readers learn about shapes. Find 80 hidden pictures with 30 flaps and tabs in this interactive celebration of color. show less
I really liked this book because it allows children to interact with the book. It gives information about different trains and allows children to move the train or pull out certain parts of the train. The book also lets the reader get an inside look into the train. I really like books that teach with fun hands-on visuals. I have never been on a train but after reading this book I would really like to get the chance to explore a train for myself.
This book surely lives up to its title as "The Most Amazing Hide-and -Seek 1-2-3 Numbers Book." Its clever, interactive, and fun that will intrigue toddlers as they develop number sense. I would recommend this book to any prek class because of its fun nature. This book is ideally useful for a parent to use when the toddler in the sensorimotor stage of child development because they are developing a sense of object permanence. The pull tags and lift flaps activity will be enjoyable for show more toddlers to play with. show less
A fun book to read and learn letters with. Interactive with surprises behind every letter; my favorite is M, watch carefully or you might miss the mouse! Of course, like any alphabet book, they have struggled with the letter X; but that is typical of most alphabet books.
