This monstrous compendiums is a motley collection of beasts that for the most part seem to be pretty generic D&D. A few of them have been seen elsewhere--the saurial (which did not originate here), the deep dragon and the loxo, for example. Most of them have died suitable deaths. Some of them, like the haun, haundar, sha'az collection, seem like they could have worked much better in an adventure or a supplement, where they would have been supported by their surroundings instead of just part show more of a collection of weird creatures. show less
Fun to look through, amazing how many modules and other items they were selling into shops that year. Has a tear out poster in the back.
