A useful overview of the current state of archival thought on the use of Web 2.0 technologies. The volume is a mixture of practical case studies, covering drivers, challenges and lessons learnt from a variety of technological implementations alongside more reflective essays on the significance to the profession of these new capabilities.

Non-archivists are given a voice, too, with historian Robert B. Townsend giving his perspective as a user and funder of archives and Jeffrey W. McClurken show more explaining his perception as a teacher of history undergraduates. These were two of the most interesting essays for me, as they come from outside of the 'Archives 2.0' bubble and made me realise that although we seem to have come a long way, there are still important and fairly basic steps that have yet to be taken (persistent URLs for archival resources being a prime example). show less
Very good source of information to help librarians and archivists to arrange their collections by using Web 2.0 tools
