Fun. All about the happiest aspects of the festivals. Many delightful photos of smiling children, dancers, costumes, etc. Nothing about the meaning of anything. Bibliography for further reading.
This book is a very cool motivator for children who are at an age of interdependence and independence. It's a fragile stage when children enter the stage of self reliance and being responsible for others. The pages are full of questions and answers, expectancies and how to fulfill the needs of becoming a responsible reliable young person.

It leaves room to springboard a multitude of questions for a young person who is motivated and wants to become more for themselves.
Beautiful photographs throughout. Lays out the process from the baby lambs on the idyllic farm through the lone farmer shearing a single sheep by hand and follows the wool to the ultimate handmade sweater. The text is informative, the subject interesting. To me, as an adult, that is. I'm not sure how it will play with its intended audience. I got this copy free at ALA Midwinter.
This is a biography about the new popstar Selena Gomez. There are fifteen chapters highlighting her music, tours, home life, career, dreams, and even her secrets. Selena Gomez is a star that's quickly on the rise and this book helps showcase how she's made her mark in Hollywood. It starts with her younger years, her relationships with Justin Bieber, and then slowly progresses into her acting career and then into her siging career. It's filled with facts and statistics about her, her hobbies, show more her dreams, and there are even some cool photos of her inside.

All little girls are interested in Selena Gomez and this book is an easy way to get yourself acquinted with her and provides the background information to who she is, where she came from, how she got to where she is, and where she's heading in the future. The chapters are small, on average of 5-6 pages, each highlighting a different area of her life.
I enjoyed learning about her contributions to public service organizations. She contributes to several charaties and an entire chapter is dedicated to sharing this info.
Great, informative and easy read.
