There is no one tag which can sum up the essays in this book, which cover palaeography, diplomatic, numismatics, chronology, and prosopography among others. Some, like the essay on computer-assisted analysis, are now dated, but others, like the one on chronology, are still as good and useful as they ever were. I would never have survived my postgrad education without the essays on diplomatic and chronology.
