I have read this book, but that's a few years ago. I do not remember clearly how the story goes, so I intend to re-read it. No soon I gues, but I will :-)
Part 2.
I have mixed feelings about this book.
On the one hand it is set up as a book written by Clancy or Ludlum: lots of characters, lots of story lines. I like that a lot, for it makes it harder to read than the ordinary thriller / mystery / detective book.
In this book however it brought me confusion and not a clear sight on how or show more where the different persons and agencies who were trying to solve the case got information or clues about the (group) of persons behind the attempted assassination.
Maybe it is the style of writing, but the jumping from one agent / policeman / agency to another was annoying to me. In assuming that the reader follows the path and has the information about which character belongs to what agency ready to use when neccessary, the writer takes a big chance. Even for me, who more or less follows politics and big events in this little country, the situations are not always very clear.
Even after reading the book a second time, I still have not a clear view on how the story goes. But I'm not going to give it another try. show less
