Solid book on preaching. Gives a theology of preaching with mature, well-thought out clarity. Some helpful historical detail (especially on John Calvin). Nothing here that you can't get elsewhere, but helpfully brief and to the point. Thoroughly biblical. Well worth the time put into it.
Peter Adams explains the work of God who used worldly leaders like Ezra and Nehemiah and their own leaders to bring his people back to Jerusalem
