The Wit of Oscar Wilde is ok. It is a compilation of sayings from his works and conversations. It is a decent book only because it encouraged me to read some of his original writings. Beyond that, it's simply a book of witty, disjointed and sometimes contradictive statements about love, marriage, money. I gather from it that Wilde was a not a happy person. His Portrait of Dorian Gray didn't exactly paint the picture of a comfortable, well-adjusted author. It's a good source for figuring out show more which of his works I want to read, e.g., An Ideal Husband etc.. show less

A slim volume of wit from one of the wittiest men ever.
