Kleine deutsche Versschule (A Small German School of Verse) is a German introduction to poetry. I picked it up because it was suggested reading in a Vorlesung on Poetry that I took while I was in Bonn. It's pretty much a standard introduction, covering the subjects, like meter and rhyme, that you'd expect in such a book. Only being in German, the examples are from authors like Goethe and Klopstock instead of Shakespeare and Tennyson. It is what it is, and that's that.
