This is a very basic overview of a bit of psychology, focusing on some of the internal (e.g., our brain) and external (e.g., group pressure) factors that influence our behavior. It is an easy read, but doesn't seem particularly logical in its organization, and it has a few typos that indicate a lack of proofreading. Since it's from the Open University, it has a British focus as well, but that isn't much of an issue.

This spans from the middle of the 18th Century to the beginning of the 19th Century and Romanticism. It was called the age of reason and spread throughout mainland Europe. This book gives a good introduction to some of the thinkers of the age including Voltaire, Diderot, Burke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Reformers like William Wilberforce and Robert Owen. Scientists such as Isaac Newton and painters like Constable.

This book aims to give an outline of the period, together with additional show more exercises, in order to form a base for further study. For anyone wishing to get a flavour of this period this is a good place to start. show less
Good book

Interesting read. I like this book and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the study of the universe and how it was created.
