The World at War.: Written by Mark Arnold-Forster, 1973 Edition, (1st Edition) Publisher: Stein & Day Pub [Hardcover] by Mark Arnold-Forster
A great total overview of WW2. Perhaps written from a British viewpoint. The 288 pp offer a thorough overview of the total war from 1938 thru 1945. Maybe just somewhat light on the Japanese conflicts. Nonetheless this book gives good coverage of the Burma campaign and a good overview of the Russian involvements. . The author was a rescued merchant seamen who subsequently survived to enjoin the British Naval efforts. The appendices offer a multi page timeline of 20pp each containing action show more dates divided into 6 geographical theatres, plus 36 biographical sketches of the major contestants. show less
