This director's cut takes a mediocre film and, in my opinion, makes it really good. The subplots added flesh out the secondary cast in fun and interesting ways, and the movie feels more like an actual story and less like a run-of-the-mill checklist of genre bullet points. Not quite in the league of the best superhero films of the soon two decades of ever-increasing superhero film output that followed since, but at its time this director's cut took a forgettable film and made it one of the show more best in its league. show less
Love Matthau and Lemmon, but not interested in the wanna-be sexual escapades of two septugenarians. Foul language also turned me off. Could see why some people like it though.
